More than 70 MPs of Britain wrote a letter asking for the intervention of the United Nations in this serious situation. The letter written to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has appealed to take immediate steps to stop the genocide going on in Occupied Kashmir by the Pakistan Army. Let the local people's safety initiative be taken now.

A virtually fiery situation has developed in Occupied Kashmir due to the 3-phase elections. Along with rampant violence, there were incidents of ballot burning in several places. Areas like Rawalkot, Kotli became virtual battlefields. The Joint Awami Action Committee had been carrying out a protest program in Rawalkot for the past two months. The security forces were accused of firing indiscriminately to quell the protests. The protestors alleged that the police opened fire on the peaceful march. At least 30 people are said to have died in this attack. Many people are fighting with death due to gunshot wounds. In addition to this, it is claimed that more than a hundred people have died in the firing of the army in the occupied Kashmir in the last few months.
The Human Rights Commission of the United Nations has already expressed concern about this dire situation in Occupied Kashmir. High Commissioner Volker Turk has called for an impartial and thorough investigation into the deaths of protesters and Pakistan's ban on the Joint Awami Action Committee and the arrest of leaders. He expressed concern over the ban on internet use and public gatherings, and the violation of the right to expression. Britain has spoken against the brutality of Pak Rangers in Occupied Kashmir.
