ABSU's march will start from Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Tuesday (25 August) at 11 am. This organization has been protesting in Gardanibagh for the last one week, a decision has been taken to surround the CM residence on Tuesday.
14 organizations including RYA, SSAI, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Morcha have announced support. RJD is also in support of CM Gherao March. A large number of youth and students will participate in the march. This march will go to CM residence via Gandhi Maidan, Dak Bungalow, Tara Mandal, JP Golambar.
Due to security and administrative reasons, the CM residence and its surrounding areas are considered sensitive/restricted. There is no permission for march and protest there. There is a possibility of lathicharge if JP Golambar forcibly moves forward. Police may resort to lathicharge to stop students.
The students demand that the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination should be cancelled. He says that the examination conduct and result process is opaque, hence it should be conducted again. The entire process should be investigated by the CBI under the supervision of a judge of the High Court. Also, librarian should be reinstated.
Apart from this, contract weightage should be removed from BSSC and the exam date should be announced. Eligibility test should be made mandatory before reinstatement of Assistant Professor. The Inspector recruitment examination should be canceled in which there has been rigging. There is also a demand of the students that the maximum age limit in all recruitment examinations of Bihar should be made 45 years and the domicile policy should be made up to 90 percent.
An annual calendar of all recruitment examinations should be released in Bihar. Apart from this, strict action and accountability should also be ensured against paper leaks, rigged settings. There is a demand that there should be a single examination in TRE 4, the negative marking system should be removed. Let us tell you that in view of the program of siege of CM residence, police force has been deployed at every intersection.
