Islamabad, 03 September 2026: Security forces have foiled a major infiltration attempt in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province near the Afghanistan border. Pakistani military media wing has informed that 15 terrorists belonging to 'Fitna al-Khawarij' (TTP) were killed during an operation conducted near the Afghanistan border.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the night between 31 August and 1 September, terrorists associated with 'Fitna-al-Khawarij' attempted to cross the border and infiltrate into North Waziristan area. 15 terrorists were killed during this operation which lasted for 36 hours. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition were also seized from them.
Pakistani military organization ISPR had said, “This incident on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border once again vindicates Pakistan's consistent stance that the Afghan Taliban government has completely failed to stop terrorist organizations from using Afghan soil.”
The army further said that the Afghan Taliban government has consistently failed to effectively manage the border and fulfill its international obligations.
21 terrorists were killed on Tuesday
The Pakistani army said on Tuesday that at least 21 militants were killed in two separate clashes between security forces and rebels in the restive Baluchistan province.
The Army had said that the incidents took place on Monday night at Nokcha in Chagai district and Ziyarat Crossing in Pishin district, in which five security personnel and a Customs Department official were killed.
