Kharge Uttarakhand Purification: The 'purification' controversy that started from Haldwani in Uttarakhand has now reached Karnataka and the political conflict has increased further after the police action in this matter. After Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's public meeting in Haldwani, a controversy had arisen over the alleged 'purification' of the rally venue. Congress had targeted BJP by linking this incident to insult to Dalits. Now in the same case, Vidhan Soudha Police of Bengaluru has registered zero FIR against Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt and some other party members.

The complaint alleges that after Kharge's presence, a purification process was carried out at the rally venue, which was seen as caste discrimination. The matter is also important because Kharge had written a letter to BJP President JP Nadda regarding this controversy, demanding action. Kharge had raised the question as to why FIR was not registered against the people concerned even after several days of the incident.
Now this controversy has taken a new turn after zero FIR has been registered in Bengaluru. Congress alleges that the alleged purification done after the rally has insulted not only Kharge but the Dalit community. Congress leaders have attacked BJP, linking it to social equality and constitutional values. At the same time, allegations and counter-allegations are already intense between BJP and Congress regarding this entire matter. Amidst the controversy, Rahul Gandhi had also raised questions on BJP and RSS regarding the alleged purification and demanded action.
Now the biggest update in this whole incident is that in the case for which Congress was continuously demanding FIR, Bengaluru Police has registered zero FIR. Zero FIR means that the complaint can be filed in any police station, even if the incident did not occur in that police station area. After this the case can be sent to the police of the concerned area for investigation.
At present, according to Bengaluru Police, the complaint is being sent to Uttarakhand for further investigation.
