PRASHAST 2.0 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is laying special emphasis on making teachers sensitive to the needs of children to strengthen inclusive education. In this direction, the campaign to connect teachers with sensitization videos before screening children through PRASHAST 2.0 is gaining momentum.
According to the data, till now 2,03,823 teachers have been onboarded on Prashash 2.0 and are watching the videos, out of which 44.38 percent teachers have participated in Rampur, 39.27 percent in Jhansi, 31.95 percent in Pilibhit, 28.42 percent in Shahjahanpur and 24.74 percent in Ballia. Apart from this, there was good participation from Fatehpur, Mathura, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly and Basti.
This digital initiative is an important step towards creating a more supportive environment in schools by making teachers sensitive, alert and competent and strengthening the inclusive education of children with disabilities at the grassroots level.
Sensitivity from 10 videos in 40 minutes
A total of 10 sensitization videos of approximately 40 minutes each are available on the Prashast app and portal. It has been made mandatory for teachers of government/council, private aided and private unaided schools of all the boards of the state to watch this video. The main objective of this process is to develop the necessary sensitivity and understanding among the teachers before screening the children.
Instructions to connect all teachers
At the state level, all the Divisional Assistant Education Directors (Basic) and District Basic Education Officers have been instructed to ensure necessary action by directing the concerned teachers to watch the sensitization video. Through Prashast 2.0, along with government and council schools, private aided and private unaided schools are also being connected through a similar process. With this, efforts are being made to strengthen sensitivity and understanding at the teacher level before screening children.
Children’s cooperation will be better with teacher’s understanding
In the education policy of Yogi government, the emphasis is on understanding the needs of every child and providing educational support accordingly. Praashast 2.0 connects this approach with the capacity and sensitivity of the teacher. Through the sensitization video, teachers will be equipped to understand the children better and carry out the screening process more effectively.
