America. Very worrying news has emerged for the Sikh community from Wyoming, America. Here a 28-year-old Punjabi Sikh truck driver Gurvinder Singh was attacked with a knife 17 times. The attack took place at the Bitter Creek Rest Area on Interstate 80 while they were traveling to Pennsylvania.

According to reports, the victims had gone to the bathroom of the rest area on Sunday morning. It is alleged that a person followed them inside and suddenly attacked them. In this attack, Gurvinder Singh suffered injuries at many places on his body including neck, chest, hands and ribs. After the attack he somehow came out and called for help. At present, he has been admitted to the hospital. Along with this, the accused has been accused of attempted first-degree murder.
The discussion regarding this incident is intense because just a few days ago the US Department of Homeland Security i.e. DHS had shared a controversial AI-generated post on social media. The post featured a South Asian man wearing a turban and identified as “Mr Singh”. Also in the message it was said to withdraw from American roads and leave America itself. Let us tell you that Sikh and Indian-American organizations had made allegations of racial and religious profiling regarding this post. After the controversy over this matter escalated, DHS had removed that post. Now Sikh organizations have demanded a complete and transparent investigation into the Wyoming attack. So that it can be found out whether racial or religious hatred had any role in the attack or not. However, recent reports have not yet conclusively confirmed the motive for the attack.
