Delhi: A new history has been created in Pakistan's domestic cricket 'President Trophy'. MIT Solution's 22 year old young opening batsman Mohammad Farooq created a stir with his stormy batting against Khan Research Laboratories. Farooq played a brilliant inning of 163 runs in just 99 balls, which included 14 skyscraper sixes.
On the basis of his explosive innings, Farooq made the 59-year-old record of the Pakistani batsman hitting the most sixes in an innings of first class cricket.

Majid Khan's 59 year old record broken
Earlier this historical record was recorded in the name of Pakistan's legendary batsman Majid Khan. Majid Khan scored 147 runs on 89 balls in a tour match against Glamorgan during the England tour in 1967, in which he hit 13 sixes. Now Mohammad Farooq has left behind this years old record by hitting 14 sixes.

Farooq, who came to start the innings, adopted an aggressive stance from the very first over. He along with his opening partner Hasnain Nadeem made a partnership of 133 runs in just 21.5 overs. Nadeem's contribution in this partnership was only 36 runs, while Farooq was raining fours and sixes from the other side.
He completed his century in only 67 balls. In his innings of 163 runs, he hit 11 fours and 14 sixes. Thanks to this brilliant innings of Farooq, MIT Solution scored a huge score of 661 runs in its first innings. Salman Khan and Atiq-ur-Rehman also scored centuries on behalf of the team.
