Standing Counsel Amit Tiwari told the court that Singhal had gone to Italy from India in 2024 and has not returned since then. The court was also told that Singhal's Indian passport had expired and there was no information about his whereabouts. The court said that a look out circular has also been issued, but despite the non-bailable warrant being issued, this alone may not be enough to ensure their presence.
