Chennai Super Kings gave information on social media account
Chennai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Monday appointed former experienced Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan as its new head coach for the coming season. Zaheer has replaced Stephen Fleming, who led the team for 18 seasons. Giving information on 'X', CSK wrote, “Welcome Zaheer Khan as the head coach of Chennai Super Kings.”
It is noteworthy that Zaheer has played 92 Tests, 200 One-Day Internationals and 17 T-20 International matches for India. He was the team's most successful bowler in the tournament, taking 21 wickets during India's historic title win in the 2011 World Cup. Zaheer has also played the role of mentor for Lucknow Super Giants in the 2024 season. Fleming had informed about his departure from 5-time champion CSK in July last year.
