Call of inner consciousness: He told that when he left films, it was not a sudden decision. He felt from within that spiritual life was calling him. At that time he was in dire need of solitude and meditation for peace of soul and search for God.

Difficult period of 12-14 years of sadhana: According to the former actress, she followed rigorous penance, fasting and meditation for years. At that time his mind was completely detached from the material world, due to which he had given up worldly comforts.

Clothes don't decide how spiritual you are: On his current modern avatar, he said that if a person is wearing normal or fashionable clothes today, it does not at all mean that he has given up his devotion or sadhana. According to him, “I have not left the world, but have learned to remain detached while living in the world. God is within me, whether I wear saffron or modern clothes.”
With Mamta Kulkarni's return to India, speculations are being made whether she is once again going to enter the world of acting through films or web series. When asked about this, he said that returning to his motherland after 25 years is a very emotional moment for him. She has come here to meet her old friends and relatives and feel the air of Mumbai again.
