Pressure on airline companies increased due to huge increase in ATF prices
IndiGo said ATF prices have been rising consistently, including a recent month-on-month increase of more than 14%. Due to the huge increase in ATF prices, IndiGo has had to change its operational cost structure, so that it can deal with the huge fluctuations in oil prices. “ATF is a significant part of the operating costs of any airline company,” Indio said in a statement. Therefore, this increase in prices is likely to affect the cost structure and network economics of all airline companies including IndiGo.
