Portugal became the first team to book a place in the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals after defeating Norway 2-1, with Goncalo Ramos scoring the decisive goal late in the match.
Ramos struck in the 79th minute to settle a closely fought contest and send Portugal into the last eight. The result underlined Portugal’s strong start to the competition and gave them a significant advantage in the group.
Elsewhere, the Netherlands defeated Serbia 2-1, while Denmark secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Wales. Germany were held to a goalless draw by Greece.
Portugal’s qualification provides an early boost to their campaign as the competition moves towards its knockout phase. The remaining group matches will determine the other quarter-finalists and the final standings.
