Swami Prasad Maurya, former cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and leader of his Janata Party, has released a picture of his meeting with the leaders of the Indian National Congress. Swamy has posted two pictures on social media site X. In one of these, he can be seen with Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

In the second photo, he is with UP Congress in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, Rahul and Priyanka. In the politics of UP, before the upcoming assembly elections, this meeting can trouble the Samajwadi Party and its National President Akhilesh Yadav.
Swamy left Akhilesh after the elections
Before the 2022 assembly elections, Swamy, who left Bharatiya Janata Party and joined SP, left Akhilesh after the elections and formed his own party. Now that Akhilesh and SP are saying that the old alliance will remain the same, that is, the way SP and Congress had fought together in the Lok Sabha elections, in the same way they will fight together this time too.

Let us tell you that Swami's daughter Sanghamitra Maurya is currently in the Bharatiya Janata Party. She was elected MP from Badaun on BJP ticket in the year 2019. However, in the year 2024, BJP had canceled his ticket. He is still in BJP. The situation is not clear yet whether Sanghamitra will leave BJP or not after Swamy changes sides once again.
