Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, work on the Lucknow AI City project is progressing towards making Uttar Pradesh a major center of modern technology and innovation. This project has been envisioned with the aim of developing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem in the state, encouraging technology-based companies and creating new investment opportunities. Lucknow is set to be developed as an emerging technology hub through the proposed AI City.

Vrindavan IT City identified as suitable site
The pre-feasibility report prepared for the establishment of AI City has assessed important aspects such as land selection, project concept, development structure and benchmarking on the basis of similar projects in the country and the world. Based on this report, Vrindavan IT City has been identified as the most suitable site for the proposed AI City-cum-Business Park.
More than 25 proposals received to attract AI companies
The project invited proposals from national and international stakeholders to develop strategic collaboration and encourage establishment of AI-based companies. More than 25 proposals have been received against the Expression of Interest (EOI) issued on 26 July 2025. This initiative is considered important towards attracting interest of potential partners in the project and developing opportunities for AI based business activities.

Appointment of expert agencies for project planning and development
A transaction advisor and consultancy firm has been appointed as part of the process of setting up a project management unit (PMU) to plan, design the development and attract investments for the AI City-cum-Business Park. Consultants have also been selected through a tender process for consultancy services related to the establishment of AI City. As per the prescribed instructions, the Consultant has to take the final decision regarding the land and proceed with the process of linking the Master Developer to the project within one year from the date of appointment.
Emphasis on technology, investment and new employment opportunities
The objective of this initiative of Yogi government is to create a favorable environment for the development of AI based industries in the state. As the project takes shape, new opportunities may develop for technology companies, innovation-based enterprises and investors in Lucknow. Besides, skills, research and employment prospects related to AI and digital technology are also expected to get a boost. Lucknow AI City project is an important initiative towards taking the state forward in the field of emerging technologies and creating a strong foundation for the future economy of Uttar Pradesh.
