Sonia arrested, hiding in ‘Abheda Fort’ with 15 hunting dogs, used to take loan by mortgaging stolen jewellery; 2 KG GOLD recovered from possession!

Delhi News: Police arrested the vicious female thief Sona alias Sonia in the theft case in Shalimar Bagh area after a high voltage drama raid. Police said that the accused had converted his house into a ‘fort’ with the help of dangerous dogs. Police say that when she reached the accused’s house, she sent dangerous dogs like Pitbull, American Bully forward to protect herself, so that the police could not come inside.

What is the whole matter?

Police claim that despite this, the team took the risk and entered the house. The accused woman was arrested. According to the police officer, on April 19, Vijay Pal Gupta had lodged a complaint at Shalimar Bagh police station that his maid had stolen gold jewelery and cash from the house. After the case was registered, the police started investigation. During the investigation, the police reached the accused with the help of CCTV footage and technical surveillance.

Used to take loan by mortgaging stolen jewelery

During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused used to take loan by mortgaging the stolen jewelery in different gold loans. So far 15 gold loan accounts have been detected. Delhi Police has frozen the bank account of the accused and action is going on in collaboration with different agencies to recover the remaining jewellery. Investigation has revealed that about 2 kg of gold jewelery is in different finance companies.

Many cases are already registered against the accused woman

During the raid, the accused was found hiding under a quilt and was arrested by the police on the spot. On the information of the accused, one lakh cash was recovered and the identity of about 2 kg of gold jewelery in different banks was found. According to the police, the accused has been involved in cases like robbery and theft in the past also. A case has also been registered against him in the year 2008.
