It is said to affect various technology-related positions including software engineers, data scientists and data engineers.
What the company said?
Adidas has admitted that it has decided to cut some positions in its technology organization in India. The company said the move was aimed at adapting the operating model to changing business needs. Simplifying certain processes in the organization, strengthening key technical capabilities and preparing the company for future business needs are also cited as reasons for the change.

Around 700 employees work at Adidas India Tech Hub in Gurugram. Of these, 350 or more employees are expected to be affected by the cuts. This may affect about 45% to 50% of the total workforce. But this figure is yet to be confirmed by adidas.
The employees were divided into two groups
Employees were reportedly informed of the decision at a town hall meeting on September 15. Some employees were given exit letters on the same day, while another group of employees have been asked to stay with the company till December. During this time they have to transfer work to colleagues in other tech hubs. If another role is not found internally, December 15 may be his last day on the job. However, the information regarding severance or notice pay is not clear yet.
