Tezzbuzz Desk: Before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Samajwadi Party has made a big election announcement regarding women. In the press conference held in Lucknow, SP MP Dimple Yadav announced the launch of 'Stree Samman Samriddhi Yojana'. According to the party, under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 40 thousand will be given to women every year and its amount will also be increased in the coming time.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the country's progress is not possible without the participation of half the population. He said that if his government is formed, many steps will be taken regarding respect, safety and self-reliance of women. Referring to the schemes of his previous government, Akhilesh said that the decisions taken at that time are examples even today.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the 1090 system started by his government for the safety of women will be further strengthened. Taking aim at BJP, he said that concrete work is needed and not just slogans regarding women.
It was also said by SP that if the government is formed, the closed schools up to class 8th will be reopened. It has also been promised to provide laptops to inter pass girl students, 33 percent reservation for women in the police force and starting an ambulance service for women and children. Apart from this, there was also talk of building super specialty hospitals in every district.
Dimple Yadav said that in the ideology of the party, 'A' of PDA represents half the population. He said that Samajwadi Party wants to work towards respect and self-reliance of women of every age. According to him, 'Stree Samman Samriddhi Yojana' will be implemented in a phased manner and changes will also be made in it as per the need.
Dimple Yadav said that making women socially and economically strong is the priority of the party. She said that being a woman, every woman should have the right to live a life with dignity.
Many women leaders of SP including MP Priya Saroj, Iqra Hasan, MLA Ragini Sonkar, Pooja Shukla and Naseem Solanki were present during the press conference.
