Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations are underway across several parts of India. Just like many communities, Bollywood is also celebrating Bappa’s agman with modak, dhol, and soaking in festive rituals. Just like every year, this year, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed Ganpati Bappa at their new bungalow, Krishna Raj.

On Friday, the Kapoors were spotted outside their newly renovated Krishna Raj bungalow as they stepped out for the Ganpati visarjan. In a rare move, the couple also allowed the paparazzi inside the bungalow to capture glimpses of their festive celebrations.

This was the first time Alia Bhatt was also part of the traditional rituals. For the visarjan, Ranbir opted for an orange kurta with white pyjamas, while Alia paired a pink kurta with green palazzo pants. Ranbir held the idol of Bappa in his hands. Their daughter Raha looked adorable in a soft pink lehenga, while Neetu Kapoor complemented the family in a printed blue co-ord set.

Ranbir posed with Neetu Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He later gave the paparazzi stationed outside their bungalow prasad. He even interacted with the paps and obliged them with more photos.

Alia did not allow the paps to capture Raha’s face. She was seen holding Raha in her arms and hiding her daughter’s face from the cameras.

A clip shows Alia carrying Raha, who rested her head on her mother’s shoulder. The actor tried to shield her daughter’s face from the cameras.

On Saturday, Alia Bhatt shared a carousel post featuring inside photos and videos from their family Ganpati celebrations. The photos show Alia and Ranbir performing Ganesh aarti and other rituals alongside Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor. She also posted a picture of herself and Ranbir praying to Ganpati with their daughter, Raha, but hid Raha’s face.

For the celebrations, Alia wore a bright yellow traditional suit. One image shows little Raha colouring a portrait of Lord Ganpati, dressed in yellow ethnic wear. Another image captured the family participating in the Ganpati visarjan ritual.

“The week that was. Ganpati Bappa Morya,” Alia captioned the post.

Alia and Ranbir moved into their newly built home during Diwali 2025. This year’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations were particularly special as it was their first festival at the bungalow, which had been under construction since their wedding.

Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana alongside Sai Pallavi, Yash and Sunny Deol. The film will be released in two parts. The first part arrives in theatres worldwide on Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.

Meanwhile, Alia will feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War opposite Ranbir and Vicky Kaushal. This will be her second feature film with Ranbir after Brahmastra. Alia and Vicky previously collaborated on Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi.
