Apple has increased the out-of-warranty battery replacement cost for its latest iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models in India, making battery repairs more expensive compared to the previous generation.
According to Apple’s service pricing, customers will now have to pay Rs 13,900 for battery service for both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. This is a Rs 1,000 increase over the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, for which the battery replacement cost was Rs 12,900.
The price hike applies specifically to battery service. Other major out-of-warranty repair charges, including screen, back glass and rear camera replacement, remain broadly unchanged from the previous Pro lineup.
For the iPhone 18 Pro, screen damage repair costs Rs 36,900, while back glass replacement is priced at Rs 16,900. Rear camera replacement costs Rs 28,900. For the iPhone 18 Pro Max, screen repair is priced at Rs 42,900, while back glass and rear camera repairs cost Rs 16,900 and Rs 28,900, respectively.
The iPhone 18 Pro series was launched earlier this month and comes with Apple’s A20 Pro chip, a new vapour chamber and upgraded camera features. The lineup includes the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with storage options going up to 2TB.
In India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900.
Apple’s published repair prices are out-of-warranty estimates and may be subject to applicable taxes. The final repair cost can also depend on the condition of the device and the assessment carried out by an Apple-authorised service provider.
