Aman Arora took charge as Industry and Commerce Minister, thanked these veterans

Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora took charge as the Minister for Industries and Commerce at Udyog Bhawan, Chandigarh today.

It is noteworthy that Shri Arora is already handling important departments like employment generation, skill development and training, new and renewable energy sources, good governance and information technology and printing and stationery.

Thanked CM Mann and party coordinator Kejriwal 

After assuming charge, Mr. Arora thanked Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal for reposing confidence in him. He said that his main priority is to make Punjab the most preferred investment destination by eliminating red tape and promoting sustainable industries.

Besides, it will be ensured that local people get employment in every industrial expansion. Apart from this, a smooth and favorable industrial environment will be created in the state by linking industrial policy, green energy, skill development and administrative reforms.

Aman Arora made this announcement 

Shri Aman Arora said, “My aim is to establish Punjab as an ‘Ease of Doing Business’ state, where respectable and skill-based employment opportunities can be created for our youth.”

He further said that industry and commerce are now linked to skill development and renewable energy, which will create a circular economy in the state, where development, green energy and employment will grow together.

It is noteworthy that before reaching Udyog Bhawan, Mr. Arora was met by Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Vice Chairperson of Punjab Development Commission Mrs. Seema Bansal, CEO of Invest Punjab Mr. Amit Dhaka, Secretary Industries Mr. Mahinder Pal, Director Industries Mr. Jaspreet Singh, MD of Punjab Infotech Mr. H.S. Brar, was warmly welcomed by Shri Harpreet Singh Sudan, MD, PSIDC and Mrs. Senu Duggal, MD, Punjab Finance Corporation.

Shri Aman Arora also held a review meeting with senior officials of the department and directed the officials to accelerate the industrial projects under progress and intensify efforts to attract more investment in the state.
