Central government canceled NEET UG 2026 exam, new dates will be announced soon
New Delhi. To be held for admission in medical colleges NEET UG 2026 The examination has been canceled by the Central Government. exam organizer National Testing Agency (NTA) gave this information today i.e. on Tuesday.
The statement issued by NTA said that after the approval of the Central Government, the decision to cancel the NEET UG 2026 examination has been taken. This examination was held across the country on May 3, 2026, but after the fear of paper leak, questions were raised on the examination. The agency said that on the basis of inputs received from the investigating agencies, it was found that it would not be appropriate to continue the current examination process. For this reason it was decided to cancel the examination.
NTA has also said that the new dates of the examination, schedule of release of admit card and other important information will be released soon through the official website and other means of the agency.
CBI will now investigate the entire matter
The National Testing Agency said that based on the inputs they received from the testing agencies, it was found that the current testing process cannot be continued. New dates of examination, schedule of admit card etc. will be informed soon through the official channels of the agency. NTA said that the government will now investigate this possible paper leak by CBI.
It is noteworthy that NEET UG is the major examination conducted for admission to MBBS and other medical courses in medical institutions across the country. Earlier it was known as AIPMT, but since the year 2017, NEET exam is being conducted in its place. After the news of cancellation of the exam, lakhs of students and parents across the country are waiting for the new exam dates.
