PM Modi to visit Haryana on July 17, will gift projects worth crores

Chandigarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Haryana on his 17th visit on 17th July. Ten districts of Haryana will get the gift of development projects from this visit of Modi. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of national highways, health, railways and cultural projects worth more than Rs 12,470 crore.

Many ambitious projects ranging from the country’s first hydrogen train to a modern railway station, medical college, elevated railway track, expressway and Sikh heritage center are making this tour special. This program is also considered important from political point of view. The projects that will be inaugurated and the foundation stone will be laid will directly impact Sonipat, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Hisar, Sirsa and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituencies. Jind, Sonipat, Ambala, Jhajjar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Hisar, Hansi, Bhiwani and Mahendragarh districts will be directly connected. The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation 11 modern railway stations prepared under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

These include Narwana and Kalka in Haryana, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) and Anandpur Sahib in Punjab and Amb Andaura station in Himachal Pradesh. Equipped with modern waiting rooms, lifts, ramps, disabled friendly facilities, parking and advanced passenger amenities, these stations will provide a new experience to the passengers. In this series, the Kurukshetra elevated railway track, built at a cost of about Rs 447 crore, will also be dedicated to the nation. This 5.9 kilometer long track is expected to provide permanent relief from the jams at five major railway gates of the city.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate Maharishi Chyawan Medical College of Narnaul and Bhiwani Medical College through virtual medium from Jind. In the road sector, Kala Amb Green Field Fourlane Corridor, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, Jind-Gohana National Highway, Hansi-Barwala Fourlane Project and Bikaner-Siwani-Sonipat Road Project will get new impetus. These projects are expected to increase industrial activities, reduce travel time and ease transportation of goods.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the state’s first Sikh Museum and Heritage Center to be built at a cost of Rs 124 crore in Umri village of Kurukshetra. This project, which presents the historical relations of Sikh Gurus with Haryana in a modern form, will become a new attraction for religious and cultural tourism.
