Lucknow. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has taken charge for the safety of the citizens of Uttar Pradesh amid floods and natural disasters in Nepal. The government has activated relief and rescue teams with resources to safely rescue the citizens of UP stranded in Nepal and provide them immediate relief. The situation in Nepal border districts is being continuously monitored from the control room of the Relief Commissioner’s office.
Yogi government has sent a platoon of SDRF for relief and rescue operations in Nepal. This includes 32 soldiers. Apart from this, 22 soldiers of 26th battalion of PAC have also been sent to Nepal. The government has made preparations to provide additional forces and resources as per the need, so that there is no shortage of relief to the affected people.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, four rubber boats are present on the spot to make the rescue operation effective in the flood affected areas. Aluminum boats along with additional SDRF platoons are also being sent to Nepal. Preparations are being made for relief operation in Sindhuria area. The entire focus of the government is on rescuing the stranded citizens and providing immediate assistance to the needy. Nepal’s floods and the situation there are being continuously monitored.
