Arvind Kejriwal’s reaction on Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, said – this is the victory of students and youth

The AAP chief especially praised Gen-Z and the students involved in the movement, saying that the results of putting forth their views democratically and continuously struggling have been seen today. He expressed hope that in future the government will also take concrete steps towards necessary reforms to make the examination system more transparent and reliable.

Arvind Kejriwal reacted to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan by releasing a video message. He said this is a victory for the long struggle of the youth and Gen-Z and an important moment for democracy. Kejriwal said, “Many, many congratulations to all of you. Many congratulations to the youth and Gen-Z. Your struggle bore fruit. Dharmendra Pradhan finally had to resign. This is a huge victory for democracy.” He further said that people’s faith in democracy had started weakening because they felt that governments did not listen to the voice of the people. According to him, the public kept appealing to the government regarding their demands, but they were not listened to. Kejriwal said that after such a long struggle, the government had to bow down and it proved that a people’s movement conducted in a democratic manner can bring change.

He said, “Such a big movement took place and finally the arrogance of the government had to bow down before the public. This is a big victory. It is the victory of democracy. Now the government should also understand that you will have to listen to the public. This is a democracy, which is run by the people, for the people and by the people.” Kejriwal expressed hope that the Central Government will now make necessary reforms in the NEET examination system, so that incidents like paper leaks can be prevented in future. He said that such a system should be made so that the future of the students is secure and they do not have to face such situations. “Jai Hind” said.

Sanjay Singh congratulated the students and youth

Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh congratulated the students and youth after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He called it a victory of the youth movement on social media platform X. Sanjay Singh wrote, “Long live youth power, long live student power. In the direction in which youth moves, in that direction the world moves. Due to their movement, crores of youth of the country woke up the Modi government which was sleeping in Kumbhkaran sleep and forced the resignation of the Education Minister.” He further said that this movement, which started with the issue of paper leak, will now reach bigger questions like employment. According to him, after this development the tradition of fixing accountability in governments will become stronger. At the end of his message he said “Jai Hind” congratulating all the participants on the success of the movement.

The movement was going on for a month

The agitation by Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and students demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was going on for more than a month. During this, the protesters organized various programs demanding continuous accountability. On 20 July, clashes broke out between police and protesters during the Parliament march. Police resorted to lathicharge to control the crowd. There were reports of several protesters being injured in this incident. After this the movement gained more momentum and students and youth from different parts of the country started joining the demonstration. Opposition parties also started cornering the government regarding the movement and raised this issue prominently inside and outside the Parliament. After this, political pressure on the central government continuously increased demanding the resignation of the Education Minister.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post on Saturday afternoon. The opposition was continuously protesting in both the houses of the Parliament demanding his resignation. Due to the uproar over this issue, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha could not proceed smoothly during the monsoon session so far and had to be adjourned several times. Now after the resignation of the Education Minister, it is hoped that the ongoing deadlock in the Parliament may end and the way may be cleared for the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to be conducted normally from Monday. For a long time, the opposition had been demanding accountability from the government on this issue and the resignation of the Education Minister.
