During the last few months, due to the deepening crisis between America and Iran and increasing tension in West Asia, concerns about LPG supply had increased globally. However, the government has taken several necessary measures to control supply and prices in the domestic market. Despite this, like every month, the eyes of the general public and business institutions remain focused on the latest prices of LPG cylinders.

No change in domestic LPG prices for 75 days
The situation remains stable for crores of families using domestic LPG (14.2 kg). The price of domestic LPG cylinder in the country's capital Delhi remains at ₹ 942. In fact, domestic LPG rates were last increased marginally by ₹29 per cylinder in the month of June. From then till now, i.e. for the last 75 days, there has been no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). Earlier, due to the international energy crisis, an increase of ₹ 60 per cylinder was seen in March.
Relief in commercial cylinder prices for the second consecutive month
Talking about 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders used in commercial establishments like hotels, dhabas and restaurants, consumers have got a big relief. On August 1, oil companies had made a huge cut in the price of commercial LPG by ₹ 192. After this cut, a 19 kg cylinder is now available in Delhi for ₹ 2,738 instead of ₹ 2,930.
This is the second consecutive month when commercial LPG rates have declined. Earlier on July 1 also its price was reduced by ₹ 183.50. It is noteworthy that earlier in June, due to the international crisis, its prices had increased to a record ₹ 3,113.50, whereas in February its price was ₹ 1,740.50. Along with this, the market price of 5 kg LPG cylinder was also reduced from ₹ 808.50 to ₹ 762.
Last date to complete e-KYC nears
If you are an LPG consumer and want to continue receiving your gas supply and subsidy benefits without any interruption, then complete your LPG e-KYC process immediately. The deadline for getting e-KYC done has been fixed for tomorrow i.e. 23rd August. Customers of Indane, Bharat Gas and HPCL (HP Gas) can complete the e-KYC process through their mobile sitting at home.
Indane customers can complete the process with the help of IndianOil ONE app and Aadhaar FaceRD app. Bharat Gas (BPCL) consumers can use the Hello BPCL app, while HP Gas (HP Gas) users can do biometric authentication using the HP Pay app or Aadhaar FaceRD app.
