An Australian tourist died Saturday after falling about 80 meters from a cliff at Kelingking Beach in Bali, which was ranked Asia’s second-best beach by Tripadvisor in 2026.
The incident began after visitors alerted a local lifeguard to a woman who appeared to be stranded on the cliff at the popular tourist destination, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
The woman, identified by rescue authorities as Brianna Lani Cronin, 29, was believed to be from Queensland and was reportedly staying at a hostel on Bali Island, The Bali Times reported.

Initial information indicated that she had been looking for a route toward the edge of the cliff when she slipped and fell into a ravine at about 9 a.m.
She had died from her injuries by the time rescuers reached her, a spokesperson for the Indonesian Navy said, as quoted by the Herald Sun.
Kelingking Beach is on the southwest coast of Nusa Penida, about 20 kilometers off Bali’s southeastern coast.
The beach is best known for its iconic headland, nicknamed “T-Rex Bay,” after a massive emerald-green cliff formation that extends into the Indian Ocean in the shape of a dinosaur.
It was voted the second best beach in Asia in the 2026 ranking of Tripadvisor after Thailand’s Banana Beach.
