Chandigarh: Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO has taken a tough stand against the anti-social elements who tried to damage the statue of the architect of the Indian Constitution Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar in village Bariyan Kalan in Hoshiarpur district and has strongly condemned the incident. The minister warned that anti-social elements who are conspiring to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab and poison the society will be dealt with strictly.
Criticism calling Ambedkar a source of inspiration
Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar ji is a source of inspiration for all of us, who has given equal rights to every citizen by giving a strong constitution to the country. Those who are doing such evil and hateful acts against him are making a vain attempt to disturb the law and order of Punjab, which the government will not tolerate under any circumstances.
Instructions to police for immediate investigation and arrest
He said that the police administration has been instructed to immediately investigate the incident and arrest the culprits as soon as possible. According to the law, strictest action will be taken against such criminals so that no one can dare to do such heinous acts in future.
Appeal to maintain brotherhood and assurance of punishment
The ETO appealed to the entire fraternity and community to maintain peace and brotherhood and assured that the government is fully committed to protecting the honor of every citizen and great personalities. No matter how easily the culprits are caught, they will soon be caught by the police and they will be given the harshest punishment for their actions.
