Bhagwant Mann’s announcement on Fatehgarh Sahib accident, Rs 2 lakh compensation to the dead and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Bhagwant Mann of Punjab has announced a relief package for the victims of the tragic bus accident in Fatehgarh Sahib. Expressing deep condolences to the families of the devotees who lost their lives in the accident, the Chief Minister announced financial assistance.
According to the government’s decision, the families of the 9 people who died in this accident will be given an assistance of Rs 2 lakh per person, while the 34 injured people will get a compensation of Rs 50,000 per person.
It is noteworthy that recently a bus full of pilgrims overturned in Main Majri village near Bassi Pathana area of Fatehgarh Sahib. This accident happened between 9:30 and 10 pm, in which 35 to 40 people were said to be on board. Nine people died on the spot in the accident, while many others were seriously injured.
Expressing grief over this incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that this is a very sad and heart-wrenching accident. He said that the state government stands with the affected families in this difficult time and all possible assistance will be provided.
He also assured that the Punjab government is standing shoulder to shoulder with the people and arrangements for better treatment of the injured are being ensured. The Chief Minister also wished for the speedy recovery of all the injured.
This relief package has been issued with the aim of providing immediate assistance to the affected families, so that they can feel some relief in this difficult time.
