Big action by Modi government on paper leak! Cabinet approves strict bill with 10 years jail and Rs 10 crore fine

New Delhi. The Central Government has taken many big steps towards strict action on paper leaks in competitive examinations. The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi has approved a bill with stringent laws against crimes related to paper leaks. According to information received from sources, in the proposed law, there is a provision of jail up to 10 years and fine up to Rs 10 crore in cases of organized paper leak (organized crime).

After the cabinet meeting, this topic was discussed for a long time between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is believed that this bill can also be presented in Parliament next week.

PM Modi had already given indications

A day before the Cabinet decision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released a video message for students late on the night of July 23. In which strict legal action was indicated against paper leak. He had said that the draft of the law providing fast track courts and harsh punishment to the culprits will be considered in the cabinet meeting to be held on July 24.

The Prime Minister had said in his message that incidents like paper leak are a serious matter related to the future of lakhs of students and their families. The government is fully committed to implementing a strong and effective legal system to stop this problem.

Emphasis will also be on fast track court

The Prime Minister had instructed the concerned departments to start the necessary process immediately. Under the proposed system, there is a plan to ensure timely decision by hearing the cases related to paper leak in fast track court.

13 arrested so far in NEET case

Investigating agencies are continuously taking action in the NEET paper leak case. According to available information, 13 people have been arrested so far in this case.

Administrative changes in the Ministry of Education

Meanwhile, the Central Government has also made major administrative changes in the Education Ministry. Naresh Pal Gangwar, a 1994 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Higher Education Department. He has replaced Vineet Joshi.
