However, this data is for the first 9 days of September. We are talking about Greaves Electric Mobility, which sells its electric scooters under the name Ampere. The company has entered the list of top 5 electric two-wheeler manufacturers. Well, this is not the first time. Earlier in February 2026 also, the company had sold more vehicles than Ola Electric.

Greaves Electric has defeated Ola Electric, which ruled the Indian EV two-wheeler market for two years. According to vehicle data for September, Greaves Electric has so far recorded registration of 2,645 electric two-wheelers. With this the company's market share has reached 4.6 percent.
During this period, Ola Electric has sold 2,607 units, whose market share is 4.5 percent. In comparison to August, Greaves Electric's sales have increased by 66 percent in the first 9 days of September. In August, the company sold 1,597 units in 9 days. Whereas 2,645 units were sold in September.

Sales in August
A total of 1,83,204 units have been sold in the Indian market in August 2026. In this, EV TVS has sold the maximum number of EVs. The company has sold 48,938 units in the month of August, while Bajaj Auto has sold 41,114 electric two-wheelers in August. At third place is Ather Energy, which sold 28,757 electric scooters in August.
Hero Vida is the fourth largest EV two-wheeler brand. The company sold 19,007 units in August. Ola Electric is at fifth place, which has sold 13,852 units. Apart from this, Greaves Electric (Ampere) has sold 8,613 units in August. Now it will be interesting to see whether the lead taken by Greaves in the beginning of September remains intact throughout the month?
