IND vs AFG 1st t20: The three-match T20 series between India and Afghanistan is going to start from Sunday. All three matches of the series will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. But this time, despite playing on the home ground, Team India will not get the status of host. Indian players will be given the same facilities as the visiting team in the stadium.

The biggest reason for this is the change in the dressing room. Whenever the Indian team plays a match in its country, it gets the same dressing room as the host team. However, the picture will be completely opposite in the series against Afghanistan.
Team India will go to the guest dressing room for the first time
This will be seen for the first time in the Arun Jaitley Stadium, when the Indian team will use the dressing room earmarked for the visiting team. Whereas the Afghanistan team will sit in the same dressing room which is for host India.
That means the ground will belong to India, the matches will be held in Delhi and the support of the spectators will also be with Team India, but in terms of dressing room and related facilities, the Indian players will get the arrangements of the visiting team.

Why did Afghanistan become the host of the series?
Actually, the reason behind this whole arrangement is the right to host the series. Despite the matches being held in India, this T20 series is not being organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), but by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB).
For this reason, under the protocol, Afghanistan will get the same facilities as the host team and the Indian team will have to use the facilities shared by the visiting team. This will be a unique experience for India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, because for the first time on its own home ground, Team India will go into the dressing room as a 'guest'.
