China President Car: Chinese President Xi Jinping is on a visit to India these days to attend the 18th BRICS summit and along with his tour, his special government car Hongqi N701 is also in the news. It may look like a luxury limousine, but its real identity is its high-security setup. This car has not been made for the common people, but has been prepared for the use of top government officials of China.

According to reports, Hongqi N701 is about 5.5 meters long. Its design has been kept quite simple and like a government car. The large grille at the front, thick pillars, dark headlamps and chrome finish give it a distinct identity. The name Hongqi means red flag, the brand has a long association with government events in China. According to reports, only about 50 units of the N701 are to be produced and it is not possible to buy it from normal showrooms.
The complete technical information of N701 has not been made public, but many claims have been coming forward regarding its safety. In reports, it is said to be equipped with bulletproof glass, armor plating and special safety tyres. Not only this, there is also talk of having a special air compression system in the car.
It is claimed that in a situation like a chemical attack, this system can help in preventing contaminated outside air from reaching inside the car. Apart from this, the car is also said to be designed to protect itself from the effects of small explosions.
