Bihar IAS Transfer List: Major reshuffle in Bihar administrative staff, 9 senior IAS officers changed departments

Bihar IAS Transfer List: Bihar government has once again made a major reshuffle in the administrative department. On Thursday, the state government transferred nine senior IAS officers simultaneously, which has created a stir in the entire administrative circle. A formal notification in this regard has been issued by the General Administration Department. This step of the government is being considered an important effort towards making the administrative system more efficient and streamlined. Under this new change, the work areas of secretaries and senior officers of many important departments including Information Technology, Rural Affairs, Food and Consumer Protection, Sports, Higher Education and Agriculture Department have been changed.

Exchange of Secretaries of Sports and Food Department

The biggest change in this administrative reshuffle has been seen in the Sports and Food and Consumer Protection Department. Deepak Anand, a flamboyant IAS officer of the year 2007 batch, has been removed from the post of Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection Department and has now been given the new responsibility of the post of Secretary, Sports Department. On the other hand, senior 2005 batch IAS officer Divesh Sehra has been relieved from the post of Secretary of Sports Department and posted as Secretary of Food and Consumer Protection Department. Both these departments are considered very special among the priorities of the government, hence a huge responsibility will now rest on the shoulders of these two officers.

New deployment in rural work and information technology

In the series of administrative reshuffle, 2004 batch IAS officer Abhay Kumar Singh has also been given a very important responsibility. He has been appointed Secretary of Rural Affairs Department. Along with this, expressing confidence in him, the government has also given him the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Information Technology Department. The Rural Works Department plays a very important role in the development of infrastructure in rural areas. Apart from this, 2010 batch IAS officer Rajeev Roshan has been appointed as additional charge of the post of Secretary (Resources) in the Finance Department. He is already working in his original post and will now serve in financial matters with this new charge.

Agriculture and Women Development Corporation gets new head

The government has also given command to new officers in the direction of agriculture and women empowerment. Rachna Patil, a woman IAS officer of the year 2010 batch, has been given the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Agriculture Department, which is expected to speed up the implementation of agricultural schemes. At the same time, famous IAS officer of the year 2012 batch, Inayat Khan, has been posted as Managing Director of Women and Child Development Corporation. Inayat Khan has already proved her efficiency in many important positions, and now she will have the responsibility of implementing the schemes related to women’s welfare.

Important changes in education and local administration

Big changes have also been seen at the level of education department and district administration. Dharmendra Kumar, a 2013 batch IAS officer, has been given the additional charge of the post of Chairman of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation as well as the post of Special Secretary of the Education Department. Apart from this, Manesh Kumar Meena of the year 2015 batch has been given the additional charge of Managing Director of Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation. At the junior level, Shweta Bharti, a young IAS officer of the year 2022 batch, has been posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Sitamarhi. It is clear from this reshuffle that the government is completely serious about accelerating the development works.
