BJP becomes stronger due to Bengal victory: NDA’s flag in 21 states, opposition limited!

Kolkata. By registering a historic victory in the election battle of West Bengal, Bharatiya Janata Party has further increased its strength in the country’s politics. This victory has not only added a new chapter in the political history of the state, but has also dealt a blow to the opposition. After this tremendous success, the influence of the National Democratic Alliance has now spread to 21 states of the country, whereas the India Alliance has shrunk to just six states. This result has completely changed the political equations of the country.

According to Election Commission trends, BJP crossed the majority mark of 147 seats in West Bengal and took lead on 191 seats by afternoon and emerged as the largest party. As soon as the news of this historic victory was received, celebrations started in the party office in Kolkata. The workers celebrated by feeding each other Jhalmuri, in which Union Minister Sukant Majumdar also participated.

Not only in Bengal, but also in Assam, BJP performed brilliantly and took lead on 79 seats. In Jorhat seat, BJP’s Hitendra Nath Goswami defeated Congress’s Gaurav Gogoi by 23,182 votes. Amidst these results, there is also a possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaching the party headquarters in New Delhi.

After this election, the challenges before the Indian Alliance and the Indian National Congress have increased further. While the Congress-led alliance was successful in Kerala, the DMK-Congress alliance faced defeat in Tamil Nadu. Here, actor Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) created a major upset and took the lead in 110 out of 234 seats.

Now Congress is left with full majority government on its own only in Karnataka, Telangana and Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, in Jharkhand it is in alliance with Hemant Soren, while in Punjab there is an Aam Aadmi Party government, which opposes the BJP at the center but is not a part of the India alliance.

With this victory in West Bengal, BJP has touched the figure of forming government in 15 states on its own. Together with allies, this number has reached 21 states. This includes coalition governments with Janata Dal United in Bihar, Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh, Naga People’s Front in Nagaland and National People’s Party in Meghalaya.

After these results, it is clear that now the political influence of NDA has been directly established in large parts of the country, due to which the direction of national politics can become even more interesting in the coming times.
