Bloody attack by Boko Haram on military base in Nigeria, painful death of many people including 10 soldiers

Once again a very shocking picture of terrorism has emerged from the African country Nigeria. Terrorists of the Islamic extremist organization Boko Haram suddenly attacked a main army base in Borno state, located in the northeastern region of Nigeria. In this gruesome and cowardly attack, at least 10 soldiers of the Nigerian Army have lost their lives, while more than 20 soldiers are said to be seriously injured. After this terrorist attack, security agencies are on high alert in the entire area. Military base captured, vehicles and villages destroyed According to information received from military sources, this bloody clash took place on Tuesday night at the military base located in Gujamala local government area. Armed militants suddenly attacked the base and captured the soldiers. The extremists completely destroyed many military vehicles present there and set fire to the residential areas of nearby Maiari village, causing huge destruction. Five civilians and a forest guard also lost their lives. Sources told news agency Reuters that not only soldiers but also civilians have become victims of this brutal attack. More than 20 people have been injured in the attack, while at least five civilians and one forest guard have also been confirmed dead. Jibrin Hasan, a witness to the incident and a local fisherman, told the media that before targeting the military base, these terrorists had forcibly snatched more than 40 boats from the village 'Tumbun Barebari' situated on the banks of the nearby lake. Meanwhile, another fisherman Babagana Muhammad said that the attacks were carried out simultaneously at several places, although they did not cause direct harm to the local fishermen. Insurgency and military operation has been going on for 17 years. It is noteworthy that the Nigerian Army is continuously carrying out operations to crush the bloody insurgency that has been going on for the last 17 years in North-Eastern Nigeria. Despite this, recent weeks have seen an increase in attacks by notorious Islamic extremist organizations such as Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). Just a week before this, Nigerian troops had successfully foiled a similar attack on another army post in Borno State and in retaliation killed more than 25 ISWAP terrorists. However, the army's struggle to restore peace and security in the country is still going on.
