Tezzbuzz Desk: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has made its strategy clear regarding the upcoming assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Party chief Mayawati has announced that BSP will not form an alliance with any political party in both the states and will contest the elections on its own. In Punjab also the party has decided to contest the elections alone.
Mayawati held a meeting with senior party leaders and responsible officials regarding preparations for the Punjab Assembly elections. During this, the status of the organization, election preparations and the party's activism at the grassroots level were reviewed.
Mayawati says that BSP does not get the expected political benefits from electoral alliance. According to the party, forming an alliance affects the seats as well as the vote percentage. This also has a negative impact on the enthusiasm of the workers and supporters.
He has asked the party leaders and workers to put all their strength into the election preparations and strongly counter the strategies of the opposition parties. BSP is now preparing to enter the electoral fray with the help of its organization and traditional support base.
Emphasis on preparations for Kanshiram's death anniversary
In the meeting, the program of the death anniversary of BSP founder Honorable Kanshi Ram on October 9 was also discussed. Mayawati instructed the leaders to complete the preparations for the program on time and strengthen the organization up to the booth level.
BSP has also started preparations to organize Public Welfare Day next year on 15 January 2027. Mayawati stressed on making the party's economic cooperation better than in previous years. He says that this will strengthen the ideology of the organization and the party.
BSP will enter Punjab also without alliance
Regarding Punjab, Mayawati made it clear that BSP will not make electoral pact with any party. The party aims to expand the organization and strengthen its base at the grassroots level. In the selection of candidates, instructions have been given to give priority to such people who can effectively convey the party's policies and ideology to the public.
BSP's decision to contest alone before the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh is considered important. The party will now focus on strengthening its organisation, workers and traditional vote bank rather than exploring alliance possibilities.
Mayawati has asked the leaders to activate the organization up to the booth level and prepare now to deal with the election challenges. BSP claims that it will make the interests of the deprived classes an election issue by taking forward the ideology of Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram and the Bahujan movement.
