American pop star Taylor Swift is one of the most famous people alive but with fame comes public scrutiny.
The singer made an appearance at the Grammy Museum’s Icon Sessions that aired on Monday, August 24.
The 36-year-old spoke to the Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and shared how se deals with critics.
The Lover singer said “Sometimes when people are mocking me it’s really fun to mock them back.”
She said “Sometimes I like to just use words that they have to look up in order to talk s*** about.”
The comments were not received well by the masses after the public had previously reviewed the singer’s twelfth studio album The Life of a Showgirlcalling it “pop slop”.
One user wrote on X “She thought she ate this meanwhile she’s proving her haters’ point that she opens a thesaurus and uses fancy words to sound smart and deep.”
In response to Taylor defending her recent album’s lyricism, one user said “who’s gonna tell her the problem with showgirl wasn’t only the lyrical content.. baby that was a full and complete mess in every field possible just accept it and move on.”
