Burn Royal Enfield! Crosses 3 lakh sales mark again in Q1; 350cc bikes continue to dominate

• Royal Enfield sold 3,01,174 bikes in the first quarter of FY27 i.e. April-June 2026; 32% increase compared to last year.
• Classic, Bullet, Hunter and Meteor accounted for 93% of the total sales, capturing 85% of the overall 350 cc segment.
• With sales expected to exceed 1.2 lakh in the current financial year, the company will soon launch 450cc, 650cc, 750cc and EV models.

Royal Enfield performed well in the first quarter of FY 2027 (April to June 2026) with sales of 3,01,174 units. Compared to the sales of 2,28,779 units in the same quarter last year, this year a huge growth of 32 percent has been recorded. This marks the second highest quarterly sales in the company’s history, with 3,00,426 units sold between October and December 2025.

Over 50 percent dominance in the 350 cc segment

In the total sales of the company, the share of two-wheelers with 350 cc engine is the highest i.e. 93 percent. The four models – Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350 – together sold 2,80,136 units. Along with this, Royal Enfield has captured 85 percent market share in the 350 cc bike segment across the country. In the same segment, Bajaj Auto 7 percent or 23,844 units, Honda 6 percent or 18,248 units and TVS Motors lag behind with the remaining 2 percent of the market.

A leader in 450 cc and middle weight bikes as well

Royal Enfield continues to dominate the 350 to 500 cc segment as well. The company’s two bikes, Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450, together sold 9,883 units, a growth of 25 percent over last year. These two bikes account for 59 percent of the total sales in this category. Also, 11,155 bikes have been sold in the 500 to 800 cc segment, and although there has been a 9 percent decline in annual sales in this category, it is safe to say that Royal Enfield controls 97 percent of the market.

Royal Enfield is on track to set a new annual record once again in the current financial year, given its performance in the April-June quarter. Total sales in India are expected to cross the 1.2 lakh units mark in the current fiscal, surpassing the record sales of 11,07,343 units in FY2026. The company is preparing to launch many new models in 450 cc, 650 cc, 750 cc and electric in the upcoming time.
