New Delhi:There is a new and important twist in the case of the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's former celebrity manager Disha Salian under suspicious circumstances. While hearing the petition filed by Disha's father Satish Salian, the Bombay High Court has given strict instructions to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a fresh and impartial investigation into this entire episode. The court has ordered the Joint Director of CBI Mumbai region to hand over the command of this sensitive case to a highly experienced and senior officer, who can thoroughly investigate all the aspects related to the incident.

The court stressed that if no criminal case is made out even after a fair investigation, then in such a situation the legal option of appealing to a higher forum will be open to the petitioner.
After this order, the command of the entire case has now come into the hands of the country's top investigating agency, which has given a new hope to the family who has been waiting for justice for years.
FIR will be registered after recording the statement
As per the directions of the High Court, the newly appointed CBI investigating officer will first record the detailed statement of petitioner Satish Salian. After this, an FIR will be formally registered and the legal process will be taken forward on the basis of available facts and evidence. The court has made it clear that this investigation will not be limited to just one point, but will cover all the events and circumstances under which Disha lost her life. However, the bench has also made it clear that unless concrete and sufficient evidence is found against a person during the investigation, no one will be considered a direct accused.
That painful night of 8 June 2020
It is noteworthy that celebrity manager Disha Salian died due to a suspicious fall from the roof of a multi-storey building in Malad, Mumbai on the night of 8 June 2020. At that time, Mumbai Police had registered the incident as an accident (ADR) and preliminary investigation had ruled out the possibility of any foul play or foul play. Just six days after this tragic incident, actor Sushant Singh Rajput also died on 14 June 2020, after which many speculations started linking the two incidents. Although, initially the investigating agencies had not confirmed any direct criminal connection between the two cases, but now after this latest order of the High Court, the eyes of the entire country are fixed on the CBI investigation.
