Devdutt Paddikal: The Indian cricket team is currently playing a three-day warm-up match against Sri Lanka XI in Colombo. On the second day of this match, India’s star batsman Devdutt Padikkal batted brilliantly and scored a century. He commented on his century and explained why this warm-up match is important for Team India. Padikkal also praised star bowler Gurnur Brar, who rained sixes and fours in his innings of 36 runs.
It was great to spend time on the field. Our goal in playing this warm-up match was to perfect our rhythm and form and hit the ball well, and I am feeling very good after doing that. Personally, I feel it is important for me to adapt to the weather and conditions here, as we are not used to playing in Sri Lanka. Therefore, it is important for your body to adapt to it, and I think we did that perfectly.
I think we all know what Gurnur can do with the bat, and we really enjoyed seeing him play those shots. Especially that last six was amazing. He showed how good he is with the bat, and that will definitely be a huge advantage for us.
