Chhattisgarh News: The Chhattisgarh government has taken a significant step toward the rehabilitation of those affected by Naxalite violence. Under the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the state government’s rehabilitation policy, financial assistance totaling ₹3.2 million has been approved for 13 Naxalite victims in Bijapur district. This assistance is being provided under the direction of Forest Minister and Bijapur District In-charge Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, so that the affected families can receive financial support and lead their lives with dignity.
Seriously injured and disabled victims will get benefits
This government-approved financial assistance is for those who have been seriously injured or permanently disabled due to Naxalite violence. The scheme aims to provide relief to such citizens and help them become self-reliant.
Those receiving assistance include Nandu Oyam and Zila Kunjam, who were injured in crossfire during an encounter between police and Naxalites. Esta Borra, who was injured in a Maoist attack, Mitram Raote, who was injured in a landmine blast, Korse Santosh, Chidem Kanhaiya, and Kavita Kudiyam, who were injured in an IED blast, will also benefit from this assistance.
Similarly, financial assistance will also be provided to Ichhami Suduru, who was permanently disabled due to the attack by Maoists, and Rammurthy Karam, Bablu alias Mohan Kadti, Ganga Kalmu, Rajesh Kumar Yadav and Sodhi Mukesh, who were seriously injured or permanently disabled in the IED blast.
The amount will be transferred directly to the account through DBT.
Bijapur Collector Shri Vishwadeep has directed the concerned officials to disburse the approved assistance amount to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as soon as possible. This will ensure that victims receive financial assistance without delay and receive immediate relief.

The state government states that the rehabilitation policy is not limited to financial assistance, but also aims to provide those affected by Naxalite violence with the opportunity to live a dignified life. The government is continuously working to rehabilitate, protect, and socio-economically empower such families.
