Chief constable suspended in case of misbehavior with journalist in Vindhyachal Dham, investigation ongoing

Mirzapur. Taking action in the case of alleged misbehavior and assault with a journalist in Vindhyachal Dham, the police department has suspended Chief Constable Mahendra Nath with immediate effect.

After outrage among journalists and local people regarding the matter, the department has started investigation. Officials said that the entire incident will be investigated impartially and further action will be taken.

After the incident, questions have been raised regarding the respect for the fourth pillar of democracy and the safety of journalists. Justice and accountability are being demanded in the matter.
