Pune. The political controversy has intensified ahead of Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's 'Students' Echo' program to be held in Pune. Congress has alleged that efforts are being made to disrupt the programme. At the same time, NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Rohit Pawar has also accused BJP of a conspiracy to influence the program. However, BJP has put forward a different stand on these allegations.
Clash between ABVP-NSUI workers before the program-
Rahul Gandhi is going to interact with girl students in Pune on Saturday evening. A day before this, a clash broke out between ABVP and NSUI workers in the hostel premises of COEP Technological University. After the incident, the police registered a case against 50 to 60 Youth Congress workers on Saturday.
Pawan Kheda said- Anger against the government among the youth-
Congress leader Pawan Kheda alleged that the government is nervous about the response to Rahul Gandhi's program. He said that there is resentment among the youth across the country against those in power and when the youth raise their voice then change begins.
Kheda alleged that people associated with ABVP tried to intimidate the girl students by visiting their hostels. He also claimed that videos of apologies from some girl students were recorded. According to the Congress leader, the girl students wanted to present many problems to Rahul Gandhi, including scholarship related issues.
ABVP retaliated, made this allegation-
On the other hand, ABVP has accused Congress workers of pressurizing COEP girl students to register for the 'Chhatra Ki Goonj' programme.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders claim that two girl students who spoke in support of the program were locked in the hostel and threatened. The police is investigating the allegations from both sides.
Rohit Pawar said- BJP is scared of Rahul Gandhi-
NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Rohit Pawar targeted BJP and said that efforts are being made to disrupt Rahul Gandhi's program. He alleged that no action was taken against those who allegedly threatened the girl students, while cases were being registered against NSUI workers.
Rohit Pawar said that Rahul Gandhi is listening to the problems of the youth and bringing forward their voice against the government. He also hit back at BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule's comments on Rahul Gandhi.
Political eye fixed on the program-
After the ABVP-NSUI controversy, FIR and allegations and counter-allegations of leaders, the political atmosphere has heated up regarding Rahul Gandhi's Pune program. Now everyone's eyes are on what issues Rahul Gandhi talks to the girl students in the 'Chhatra Ki Goonj' program and how he reacts to this controversy.
