Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the 'Chief Minister Youth Future Development Scheme' on Monday at the Chief Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister Camp Office. Through the scheme, free online coaching will be provided to the eligible students studying in state and government aided colleges and state universities for the preparation of various competitive examinations.
Free online coaching to 11 thousand students
The Chief Minister said that in the first phase of the scheme, 11 thousand students will be connected with free online coaching. He said that for success in competitive examinations, along with hard work, right direction, better strategy, guidance of good teachers and regular practice are also necessary. Many talented youth, especially in hilly and remote areas, are not able to reach good coaching institutes due to economic conditions, lack of proper guidance and resources. The state government has decided that lack of resources or financial constraints will not come in the way of the dreams of any talented youth.
Government jobs to more than 34 thousand youth
The Chief Minister said that the biggest strength of Uttarakhand is its youth power. The youth of the state are hardworking, talented and capable of facing challenges. There is a need to provide right direction, better guidance and equal opportunities to his talent to move ahead. He said that the state government has implemented the country's most stringent anti-copying law to ensure transparency in the recruitment processes. In the last 5 years, more than 34 thousand youth have got government jobs.
The goal is not just to provide government jobs.
The Chief Minister said that the aim of the state government is not only to provide government jobs. The government wants the youth of Uttarakhand to become not only job seekers but also job providers. In this direction, continuous work is being done to promote self-employment, startup, skill development, entrepreneurship and local products. He said that reverse migration has increased in the state. Today, many youth have returned to their villages and are creating employment opportunities for others along with self-employment through business, agro-horticulture, homestay and local products-related enterprises.
Be an active participant in deciding the direction of development
The Chief Minister said that the state government is also making the youth active participants in deciding the future direction of the state. With this thinking, ideas and suggestions are being taken by brainstorming with more than 2.5 lakh young students of the state. He said that a separate 'Youth Commission' will be formed in the state to specifically work on issues related to the hopes, aspirations and employment of the youth. The government wants that the youth should not only become beneficiaries of government schemes, but also become active participants in deciding the direction of policy and development of the state.

The Chief Minister called upon the youth to dream big and work with full hard work and dedication to fulfill them. He said that the government is standing with the youth at every step to provide them opportunities, resources, guidance and transparent system. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the youth of the state will achieve new heights on the strength of their hard work, talent and determination and will contribute significantly in fulfilling the 'optionless resolution' of making Uttarakhand the best state of the country.

During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted with the students. He took information from the students about their preparations for competitive exams, future goals and aspirations and inspired them to move forward with full hard work and confidence. Encouraging the youth, the Chief Minister said that the state government is standing with them at every step to provide necessary opportunities and resources to realize their dreams. Special enthusiasm was visible among the students after finding the Chief Minister among them.
Preparation for competitive exams
Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that 'Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana' is an important initiative towards providing better opportunities to the youth of the state to prepare for competitive examinations. Through the scheme, quality coaching and guidance will be available especially to the students of hilly and remote areas. The Higher Education Department will ensure that information about the scheme reaches as many eligible students as possible and they can avail its benefits.
The Higher Education Minister said that the state government is continuously working to improve the quality in higher education and provide better educational facilities to the students. He said that from this year, 50 percent posts will be reserved for girl students in the student union elections. Digital education is also being continuously expanded in the higher educational institutions of the state and students have been provided digital access to about 20 lakh books through e-Granthalaya.
Preparation of students from coaching institutes
Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan expected the coaching institutes associated with the scheme to pay special attention to the preparation of the students and said that they should not consider it only as a professional responsibility but should also take it as a personal and social responsibility. He said that right guidance, regular communication and support as per the need of each student will play an important role in strengthening their preparation and self-confidence.
Calling upon the youth to take full advantage of the available opportunities, the Chief Secretary said that discipline, continuous practice and determination are necessary for success in competitive examinations. The youth should move forward strongly towards their goals by making better use of the resources and opportunities provided by the state government in the field of education.
