‘Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme’ launched, CM said – ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ is committed towards the respect, safety and welfare of teachers.
Agra. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme’ in Agra to provide health protection to more than 7.50 lakh teachers of the Higher Education Department and their dependents. On this occasion, an MoU was also signed between the Higher Education Department and Punjab National Bank to provide a strong social security cover to the teachers. Committed to the respect, safety and welfare of teachers, ‘Naya Uttar Pradesh’ is further strengthening the quality education system.

He said, unfortunately, if any accident happens to a teacher, an assistance amount of ₹ 1.5 crore will be provided to his family under the ‘Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme’. Insurance benefit up to ₹3 crore will be provided in case of death in a plane accident. Apart from this, cash facility up to ₹ 60,000 and term life insurance cover up to ₹ 12 lakh will also be provided for treatment in the hospital.
Anyone can get involved in an accident. In such difficult times, the Double Engine Government stands with that person and his family with full sensitivity, commitment and confidence, so that they can get all possible help and support.

He further said, today before Guru Purnima, I feel extremely happy to present the gift of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government’s cashless medical facility to the teachers of all the higher educational institutions of the state.
Through this facility, all universities and colleges – whether government, government aided, non-government or operating under self-financed management – are being covered. Along with this, non-teaching staff are also being linked to this scheme.
