Chasing the target, India won the match in the ninth over itself and registered a big win by seven wickets.

After the embarrassing defeat, Wahab Riaz said that he has full confidence in the ability of his players. He said that the team will have to learn from its mistakes and perform better in the next match.
According to Wahab Riaz, Pakistan team should not be judged on the basis of one defeat. He expressed confidence that Pakistan can win the Asia Cup trophy.
He said, “I believe that these girls are very skilled. They need to believe in themselves. Now we have a match against Hong Kong. We will try not to repeat the mistakes we made in the next match.”
Wahab further said that he still believes that Pakistan is the best team of Asia Cup 2026 and his team will also lift the trophy. He also said that the conditions of the tournament are in Pakistan's favor.

During the match, the way Pakistan captain Fatima Sana celebrated after taking the wicket of Shefali Verma also became a topic of discussion. Earlier, Pakistan team was all out for just 55 runs, while India achieved the target easily.
