The troubles of YouTuber Nishu Azad and his father Sanjay Azad, who came into limelight due to the CJP movement, may increase. A Delhi court has summoned the action taken report from the police in the case of alleged comments regarding Hindu deities. The court heard a petition seeking registration of an FIR in connection with the alleged comments made about Lord Shiva, Durga, Saraswati and Krishna. During the hearing, the court asked the police what action has been taken in this case so far and what is the current status of the case. The court has directed the police to submit a report in this regard.
Advocate Amita Sachdeva filed a petition
This petition has been filed on behalf of advocate Amita Sachdeva. In this, a demand has been made to register an FIR against Sanjay Azad and his daughter Nishu Azad. It has been alleged in the petition that both of them allegedly made objectionable comments about Hindu deities. The petitioner claims that these comments hurt religious sentiments and created a fear of increasing communal tension. During the hearing of the case, the court has sought a report from the police on the action taken so far. Based on the police report, the court will consider further action.
The court asked the police – what action has been taken so far?
Patiala House Court Chief Judicial Magistrate Mridul Gupta has issued a notice to Delhi Police in the case related to alleged objectionable comments against Hindu deities and allegations of spreading communal disharmony. The court has directed the police to file the action taken so far report (ATR) in the case. Advocate Amita Sachdeva requested the court to direct registration of FIR under sections 196, 299 and 353 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) in the case. The petition demands action against Sanjay Azad and his daughter Nishu Azad. According to Amita Sachdeva, she had also complained to Delhi Police in this regard before approaching the court. Now after the action taken report sought by the court, the further legal process in the case will be clear.
Complaint regarding four posts on Gods and Goddesses
Advocate Amita Sachdeva has mentioned four social media posts in her petition. According to the petition, these posts were uploaded between September 2023 and August 2026. In these, comments were allegedly made about Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Durga. Sachdeva alleged that these posts were deliberately circulated on social media. The petition also claims that despite appeals to remove the posts, they remained present on the respective social media platforms. The court has sought a report from Delhi Police on the action taken so far in the case. After the police report comes out, the court will consider the further process.
