Material

Thick curd-1 cup (hung curd)
Paneer, grated – ½ cup
Gram flour-2 tbsp
Onion-1 small finely chopped
Green chilli-1-2 finely chopped
Ginger-½ tsp grated
Garam masala-½ tsp
Chaat masala-½ tsp
Salt- as per taste
some green coriander
Oil, for shallow frying

Method

  1. First of all, tie the curd in a muslin cloth and hang it for a few hours, so that its excess water gets drained.
  2. In a bowl, add hung curd, paneer, onion, green chilli, ginger, spices, salt and green coriander and mix well.
  3. Add gram flour to it and prepare a mixture which is soft but shapeable.
  4. Take small portions of the mixture and make round or flat kebabs. Applying some oil on hands will make it easier.
  5. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan and shallow fry the kebabs on medium flame until golden and crisp on both sides. Serve the prepared dahi kebab hot with green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney.
