New Delhi, 24 September 2026: The help of technology is being taken to ensure the safety of police personnel in case dangerous objects like suspected explosives or bombs are found in the capital Delhi. A remotely controlled robot named 'Remote Operated Vehicle' was successfully demonstrated at Delhi Police Headquarters. The demo of this robotic technology was inspected by DCP Praveen Kumar Tripathi of Special Cell and his team.
Various foreign and local companies had presented their robotic prototypes to the officials. The police team had thoroughly tested the robot's performance, its weight lifting capacity and the possibilities of using it in times of emergency. The main feature of this robotic vehicle is that it can easily lift suspicious objects ranging from 8 kg to 50 kg and carry bombs from one place to another safely.
In case of explosives being found, the situation can be brought under control by sending robots to the spot without human intervention. The biggest objective of adopting this modern technology is to protect the lives of police personnel during sensitive and dangerous operations. During the actual bomb disposal and search operation, the robot can track the suspicious object and dispose it in a deserted or safe place while staying away from human resources.
