Dhruv Jurel took an incredible catch
After Sri Lanka lost 3 wickets early, captain Shubman Gill once again handed the ball to young spinner Manav Suthar. Manav had earlier dismissed Pasindu Suriyabandara on zero in the 8th over. Manav Suthar cleverly bowled the ball on the line of off-stump, on which Lahiru Udara tried to play a shot, but the ball took the outer edge of Udara's bat and went down very fast.
Dhruv Jurel was placed on the field just ahead of the batsman to take the catch. He was fielding wearing a helmet. Seeing the ball going down, Dhruv Jurel showed amazing reflexes. He dived downwards rapidly and caught the ball with his fingers just a few centimeters above the ground. The catch was so close that batsman Lahiru felt that the ball had hit the ground. The field umpires referred the matter to the third umpire. Replays clearly showed that Jurel's fingers were below the ball, after which the umpire declared Udara out.
